Marco's Exquisite Experience of Rajasthan’s Royalty with Thrillophilia

Rajasthan’s beauty, Marco felt, was unlike any other place in India. Its people, its culture, its food, and its beauty were so distinct and vibrant that each day he spent in this heavenly land seemed to be out of this world.

He had always wanted to visit Rajasthan solo, exploring its vast desert lands while witnessing the majestic forts that held centuries of history. Marco longed to experience the essence of Rajasthan beyond the pages of history books.

So, when the opportunity finally came, he set out alone on a journey through this mesmerising land of ancient tales.

The Experiences Count

The most unforgettable part of his trip was the desert safari and camp experience in Jaisalmer. Being the final leg of his journey, it gave him the perfect ending he had hoped for. The camel ride through the endless sand dunes of the Thar Desert was a brilliant encounter. Passing by a vast oasis, his first time seeing one, he watched the sunset cast a golden glow across the desert.

After returning from the safari, Marco witnessed one of India’s most revered folk dance forms- Kalbeliya. The troupe sang and danced around a bonfire at the camp, enchanting everyone present. He relished authentic Rajasthani dishes like Dal Baati Churma, Gatte ki Sabzi, Ker Sangri, and Chaach for dinner, savouring every flavour of the region.

The second-best experience was his tour of the Pink City, Jaipur. The city had so much to offer- short hikes, spiritual abodes, and iconic landmarks. Although he couldn’t manage the hikes due to time constraints, he made sure to visit the Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and the magnificent City Palace.

He also discovered why Jaipur was called the “Pink City.” Every building was painted in a light-brick hue that glowed a radiant pink during sunrise and sunset. The skies, too, were breathtaking, beautiful at any hour of the day.

The third experience that left him utterly speechless was the Jodhpur tour. The Mehrangarh Fort stood tall and awe-inspiring. Marco took his time to explore its wonders and witness the famous sunset view of the “Blue City” from its ramparts. Though he had to squeeze Jodhpur into his otherwise tight schedule, the experience was completely worth it.

Excellent services make for an unforgettable trip!
Thrillophilia’s arrangements of hotels, drivers, and itineraries were flawless throughout his journey. Marco received all necessary information beforehand, making it easy for him to include a few off-itinerary stops along the way.

The stays were impeccable, many being former palaces converted into hotels, complete with top-notch amenities and stunning aesthetics. Rajasthan, he realized, was a visual delight- everywhere he looked, beauty awaited.

His driver was knowledgeable and accommodating, taking him to scenic photo points and even lesser-known spots. He guided Marco through the palaces and forts, sharing fascinating cultural and historical insights. Through these conversations, Marco learned about the significance of Rajputana motifs, architecture, and especially the intricately designed Baolis. All in all, he considered it one of the best trips of his life. Rajasthan, he felt, didn’t just speak of royalty, it lived it. Every structure seemed to whisper tales of the past, reminding him of cinematic masterpieces like Jodha Akbar, Paheli, and Satyajit Ray’s Sonar Kella.

Finally, some tips about the expenses
Food, Marco observed, was moderately priced and largely vegetarian, though he highly recommended trying Laal Maas for meat lovers.

Transport could be expensive; without Thrillophilia’s assigned driver, navigating the region would have been difficult. Shopping and lodging were other areas of expense, though Thrillophilia’s hotel options were both premium and affordable.

As for shopping, Marco found the markets lively and colourful, perfect for leisurely strolls. Bargaining, however, was essential. He was particularly fascinated by Jaipuri Juttis, handicrafts, traditional jewellery, and the famed Jaipuri blankets. The variety of art and craftsmanship left him admiring the region’s creativity for hours.

A Royal Recommendation

“Puff up your chest and wrap a turban around your head,” Marco laughed, recalling his adventure. Rajasthan’s rich heritage and culture, he felt, would leave anyone stunned, constantly reminding them of the lavish royalties that once ruled here.

For Marco, the six-day journey through Rajasthan, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer with Thrillophilia was an experience beyond words- one that he fully grasped only days after returning home.

He gave a heartfelt shout-out to Thrillophilia’s sales, operations, on-ground assistance, and customer support teams, who made his dream trip not just possible but perfect. Whether it’s a solo or group journey through the Land of Royalty, Marco recommended Thrillophilia to every traveller seeking a truly unforgettable experience.
