Pushparaj’s Sri Lanka Trip with Thrillophilia: A Love-Travel Story

For Pushparaj and his wife, Sri Lanka arrived at a time when they needed a quiet escape from routine. They wanted a simple journey with calm mornings, honest food, warm people, and places where they could slow down together. This trip with Sri Lanka tour packages gave them exactly that.

He often says that a holiday becomes special when it is planned with care, and from the very first day, they felt that Thrillophilia stood by them with steady support.

What started as a basic international getaway slowly turned into a meaningful experience for the couple, filled with ease, comfort, and small moments that stayed with them.

Day 1: Colombo to Kandy

They landed at Bandaranaike International Airport on 17th November, and the representative was already waiting. The welcome was simple and warm, and it helped them settle into the journey. As the drive towards Kandy began, the couple felt the excitement and calmness of a new country blend into the day.

Their first stop was Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. They watched the elephants being fed and guided by the caretakers. She enjoyed observing the elephants move around the space, while he kept clicking pictures of her as she smiled at the little ones playing in the water. He felt that this visit added a gentle, happy tone to the start of the trip.

After lunch they continued to Kandy. The hotel check in was smooth, and they took a short break before stepping out again. Kandy Lake looked serene in the evening light. The still surface and the quiet surroundings created a peaceful moment for the two of them. Later they attended the Kandyan Dance performance. The colours, the rhythm, and the final fire walking act gave the evening a dramatic finish. They returned to their hotel for dinner and ended the first day with a sense of comfort.

Day 2: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

On 18th November they checked out and began their journey to Nuwara Eliya. As the vehicle moved towards the hills, the temperature dropped, and the scenery softened. For them, this slow shift felt like the start of a quieter chapter of the holiday.

After checking into their hotel they visited Gregory Lake. The open views, the fresh air, and the sight of boats moving gently across the water made the place feel calming. She enjoyed sitting by the railings for a while, and he captured a few photos of her as the light fell across the lake.

They then visited the Hanuman Temple, a place known for its Ramayana connection. The calm surroundings allowed them a peaceful pause before heading towards Ramboda Falls. The height and flow of the waterfall created a refreshing atmosphere. Both took their time watching the water move through the rocks. They returned to their hotel in the evening, had dinner, and rested for the night.

Day 3: Excursion to Ella

On 19th November they left for their full day excursion to Ella. Their first stop was the Ravana Ella Caves. He was intrigued by its cultural link to the Ramayana, while she admired the valley views from the area.

The next stop, Nine Arch Bridge, became one of their favourite locations. The open space around the bridge, the curve of the arches, and the greenery created a picture perfect setting. She stood near the edge of the pathway, and he clicked several photos of her with the long bridge stretching behind her. He felt that this location carried a beautiful mix of nature and structure.

They then visited Ravana Waterfalls. The water flowed down in clean, steady streams, and the surrounding greenery made the place feel fresh and inviting. After spending some time there they returned to Nuwara Eliya for dinner. It had been a long day, but they both felt that Ella added colour and depth to their holiday.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya to Bentota

On 20th November they checked out and travelled towards Bentota. As the landscape changed from hills to coast, their mood shifted too. The beachside surroundings gave their trip a lighter feel. After checking into the hotel they rested for a while before heading out.

The Madhu River Boat Ride turned into a gentle and pleasant experience. They moved through mangrove paths and spotted different birds along the way. She laughed during the fish pedicure spot, while he clicked a few playful photos of her reacting to the tiny movements on her feet. It added a comic touch to the day.

They ended the afternoon with a visit to the Turtle Hatchery. She enjoyed learning about how the eggs were protected, while he appreciated the care that went into the conservation work. They returned to the hotel for dinner and spent the evening relaxing by the coastal breeze.

Day 5: Bentota to Colombo

On 21st November they checked out and travelled to Colombo. After resting at the hotel they stepped out to explore the capital. They visited the Lotus Tower area, the Suspension Bridge, and several commercial and cultural spots across the city including Fort, Pettah Floating Market, and the World Trade Building.

She spent time browsing the local streets while he tasted some of the food sold along the way. By evening they returned to their hotel for dinner and ended the day calmly.

Departure, Comfort, and Overall Support

On 22nd November they checked out after breakfast and were dropped at their preferred location in Colombo to continue their personal plans for two more days. The departure felt smooth and well coordinated, just like the rest of their journey. They appreciated the comfort of every hotel and the quality of the food throughout the trip.

The guide was reliable and flexible, which helped them enjoy each day without stress. They also acknowledged Harshal, Narender Singh ji, and Pooja for their daily check ins that added a personal touch. Their steady support built a strong sense of trust, and the couple said that this experience made Thrillophilia their preferred travel partner for future holidays.
