Love, Islands, and Sunsets: Nitin Jadhav’s Thailand Escape with Thrillophilia

There is something magical about ticking off dreams with the one you love. For years, my wife and I had promised each other a real getaway, where we would lose track of time, hold hands under new skies, and let the world slow down.
We always spoke about Thailand. “One day,” she would say while sipping chai on a lazy Sunday. “I want to see the turquoise waters, the floating islands, and those magical sunsets people talk about.”
That "one day" finally arrived in March 2025, when we boarded our flight to Thailand.
Love in Slow Motion
We landed in Phuket to warm weather, wide smiles, and a chauffeur holding a placard with my name on it. That small gesture made me feel like a VIP. My wife giggled while nudging me, “Mr. Jadhav, your chariot awaits.”

Our hotel was cosy, elegant, and just a few minutes from the beach. We spent our first day wandering around, eating fresh mango sticky rice, and soaking in the ocean breeze.
The next evening, our private transfer arrived to take us to Promthep Cape for sunset. It was everything we imagined. The golden light covered the cliffs, and we stood at the edge of the world to soak in the beauty all around.
“I never want to forget this moment,” she whispered.
“You won’t,” I promised, as we watched the sunset into the sea.
Temples, Views & A City with a Heart
On the third day, we went on a half-day city tour of Phuket. Our driver arrived right on time (Thrillophilia’s punctuality was impressive throughout), and we began with a walk through the Souvenir Market. My wife loves collecting little keepsakes, and soon her hands were full of handcrafted trinkets and coconut-scented candles.

Next, we drove up to the famous Karon View Point. From there, the sweeping view of Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon Beach took our breath away. The colours of the ocean below looked like a dream.
We ended the tour at Wat Chalong Temple. As we walked barefoot through the temple grounds, the bells chimed gently in the background. We lit incense sticks and made a quiet wish for many more travels together.
A Love Letter Written on Water
Phi Phi Island was the place we were both waiting for. We woke up early and got ready to be picked up at 7.30 am. The speedboat waited for us at the Phi Phi pier, and soon we were over crystal waters.
Our first stop was the iconic and serene Maya Bay. The water was so clear that you could see the fish moving below. We also visited the Loh Samah Bay, surrounded by tall cliffs.

Then, the boat slowed as we approached Viking Cave, and shortly after, Monkey Island. My wife burst into laughter as a cheeky little monkey tried to grab a banana from a tourist’s bag.
After a delicious lunch by the beach (we still talk about that spicy Thai curry), we lounged on Koh Phi Phi Leh to let the waves lap at our feet. It was a paradise for us, even just for a few hours.
Exploring Krabi
The next morning, we said goodbye to Phuket and travelled to Krabi. The drive was scenic and smooth, and we were able to check in and rest without hassle. Krabi was more raw, more romantic, and less crowded.
We went on another stunning adventure on the Krabi 4 Island Tour on Day 6. We boarded a longtail boat at Krabi Pier and cut through waters that shimmered like glass.

On this tour, our first stop was the Koh Poda Island. There were white sands and blue skies all around. Then, we visited Chicken Island, where there was a rock formation shaped like a chicken.
Tup Island was another beautiful stop on our tour. The sandbar that connects the islands appears only during low tide, and we walked across it, hand in hand, surrounded by sea on both sides.
The last stop was the Phranang Cave Beach. Filled with local legends, the cave contrasted with the peaceful beach just outside it. We soaked in the stories, the sea, and the sun.
After a healthy lunch, we made our way back to the hotel.
A Beautiful Sunrise
On the final morning, our driver arrived right on time to take us to Phuket Airport, but we stood for a few extra seconds outside the hotel.
“Do we really have to go?” she asked, resting her head on my shoulder.

“Only for now,” I smiled. “But we will be back. Thrillophilia still has a few more surprises for us, I am sure.”
As we drove past familiar roads with memories, I felt gratitude for the perfectly planned trip, the kind drivers, and the seamless coordination. We rediscovered our love in a land so breathtaking that it felt like a dream come true experience.
Thank You, Thrillophilia
To anyone reading this and wondering if Thailand is worth the hype, just go.
To those unsure about planning, Thrillophilia made it effortless. We did not worry once about pickups, bookings, or time, as everything was handled with care and precision.
But most importantly, to those waiting for the right time to celebrate love, I want to say that there is no better time than now, and no better place than Thailand.
