To Love is to Dream- Nirmit’s Honeymoon Trip to Seychelles with Thrillophilia
“The land of perpetual summer.”
What comes to mind when you think about this phrase?
A bright and warm place where the sun shines upon the lush green leaves of towering coconut trees?
A beach that embodies the spirit of summer vacations with endless water sports and pristine sands?
Or,
A place where flowers bloom in every corner and fruits ripe on every tree?
Seychelles is a combination of all these.
Do you know where this place is?
It's in Africa. So you can imagine how vibrant and lively its marketplaces and neighbourhoods are.
Nirmit and his wife had gone for a honeymoon to Seychelles, as recommended by Thrillophilia’s team. They had not heard about this place before and they were ot very confident about going on a honeymoon trip to Africa. But, after seeing the pictures and researching about the place on google, they changed their mind.
They did not know what a paradise it would be. So, upon reaching the place, they were awe-struck, murmuring to each other-
Wow! What a place!
The day they fell in love again
Their very first day in Seychelles went smoothly. They were greeted with garlands of orchids and coconut water drinks, and then escorted to a room that had a marvellous view of the ocean. Exploring the room, they went to the bathroom and saw a huge bathtub. Excited, they asked the staff who was really attentive to their requirements-
“Can I have a spa session here? Privately?”
“Definitely ma'am. It will be arranged, just let us know an hour before.”
Contended, they freshened up and got ready to explore the nearby areas of Praslin, and spend the evening gorging on some street food on the beaches with a couple of beers. The ambience was so romantic, that they wished to freeze the moment and stay there forever. The ocean offered a sense of calm, while the floating music from the beach shops kept them pumped-up. It was a beautiful experience.
Later in the evening, after having their dinner, they went for a walk on the beachside.
Walking for around 15 minutes, they looked at the sky. Everything around them was silent, mostly. The people had returned back to their homes and the shops were closing. Suddenly, Nirmit took his wife’s hands and pulled her closer. He whispered, “ look up”.
She looked up at the night sky that was glistening with a million stars. She had never seen a night sky so pretty before in her life. And suddenly, there they saw a comet!
Both closed their eyes and wished for the same thing.
A happy life, ever after.
They looked at each other, and both had tears in their eyes.
To shells, beads, and sunsets
Their excursion to La Digue was absolutely fantastic. They reached there in a ferry and then hired a cycle and toured the beaches there. In fact, they even came across a woman selling beads made of coconut shells and pebbles. It fascinated Nirmit’ wife and she bought a beautiful necklace for herself and for Nirmit as well. The woman was old, and she blessed the couple with all her heart.
They both had already collected a bag full of colourful shells from Praslin. But on their arrival in Mahe Island, they were heads over heels in love with this destination.
Thrillophiia's representatives had called them to ask for their feedback on the trip arrangements till then. They sounded so excited that it was without doubt that they were having a great time.
They tried snorkelling and kayaking in Mahe, which thrilled them up to the core. The corals were in their prime, swaying peacefully along with the waves. The scenery all around them appeared to have come straight out of a painting, with emerald bushes and trees, white sands, and the striking blue colour of the ocean.
They lazed around in the afternoon, tucked away in a hammock under the shade of a tree. And the sunsets…
The soul stirring sunsets…
The play of colours in the sky reflected on the ocean waters, creating an awe-inspiring sight. They never missed a day to watch it.
Everything was perfect.
The honeymoon of their dreams
Both had gone shopping before this trip, because they both had to look AWESOME. It was a deal between them which they kept honestly. But upon reaching Seychelles and exploring the markets, they thought that shopping from here would have been a better option. But no worries, they did not mind carrying an extra bag full of souvenirs and Seychelles-boughts.
They had toured the spice gardens, tea factories, and the sanctuaries where giant tortoises made their way up to humans for treats. They also went to the Takamaka Rum Distillery and tried some of their best rums that are famous all over the world.
Although their honeymoon trip went well, their heart was still not satisfied. They had one more thing to do- go swimming for the one last time in Seychelles. Just two of them, on a secluded beach.
It was perhaps the best decision they had taken on the trip. It was not just rejuvenating, it was an ode to their love. They swam for hours and after getting back to the hotel they finally opted for their spa session. Their stay was not the same, but it did not matter.
They both had a lovely time at this place. Loving and living the best of their days together.
Their days were blessed.
What more can one ask out of a honeymoon trip to the dreamland of Seychelles?
