Kiran’s Andaman Review with Thrillophilia: A Comfortable Family Trip Across Port Blair and Havelock

For Kiran and the five members travelling with him, this Andaman trip was meant to be a relaxed family getaway. They wanted simple arrangements, decent hotels and clear guidance between islands. When they look back now, they describe the overall experience with Thrillophilia as good. What mattered to them was that the hotels were comfortable, the pickup and drop services were reliable and the coordinators at both Port Blair and Havelock handled the day-to-day movements without any difficulty. The extra activities they opted for were chargeable, but the family had no trouble choosing what they wanted to add.

Their journey unfolded across beaches, ferries and short road drives. Nothing felt overwhelming, and the family got to enjoy the natural beauty of the islands in a steady, pleasant way.

Arriving in Port Blair and Beginning the Trip

The family reached Port Blair on 5 December. Their driver met them as soon as they exited the airport and took them to their hotel for check-in. After getting comfortable, they stepped out for their first outing.

Corbyn Cove Beach was their first stop. With palm trees lining the shore and an easy coastline to walk along, it gave them a nice introduction to island life. The adults took photos, the younger members enjoyed the breeze, and the general mood of the place put everyone at ease.

Later, they visited Cellular Jail, a landmark that carries a deep sense of history. The family explored the building, walked through its corridors and spent time understanding the stories behind it. The light and sound show added more meaning to the visit, and by the end of the first day, they had already experienced two contrasting sides of Port Blair — one scenic, one historical.

Travelling to Havelock and Visiting Elephant Beach

On the next morning, the family checked out and headed toward Phoenix Bay Harbour. Boarding the ferry was simple, and the ride gave them time to enjoy the open sea. Once they reached Havelock, the pace of the trip shifted slightly. Havelock has a more relaxed environment, and after checking into their hotel, they began their day at Elephant Beach.

This beach is known for its bright shoreline, shallow water and marine life. Here, they got to see the colourful world at Neemo Reef. Snorkelling and kayaking were available at an additional cost, and those who wanted extra adventure could participate, while others enjoyed watching the activities from the beach. The family appreciated the clarity that extra activities were optional, so each person could decide for themselves.

Elephant Beach offered a nice balance. There was enough happening around them to feel lively, yet the surroundings remained clean and scenic. After spending a good part of the day here, they were taken back to their hotel for rest.

A Sunrise Morning and Another Move Between Islands

The third day began early, with a visit to Kalapathar Beach. The sunrise here is known for its beautiful colours, and the family arrived in time to watch the light spread across the water. The shoreline has a mix of rocks and sand, and the peaceful morning atmosphere made the stop worth it.

After returning to their hotel, they checked out and headed for their ferry back to Port Blair. The return trip happened smoothly, and once they arrived, they were taken to their next hotel for the final night.

The family noticed that the coordinators in both Port Blair and Havelock remained polite, approachable and aware of the schedule. This helped them feel comfortable even when moving between islands.

Wrapping Up the Trip

On the final day, the family packed up and checked out of the hotel. Their vehicle arrived on time, and they were driven back to Veer Savarkar International Airport. It marked the end of a four-day journey that included beaches, ferries, sunrise views, short sightseeing stops and relaxing hotel stays.

Final Thoughts

When Kiran described the holiday, he highlighted two things more than anything else:

the hotels were good, and the transfer services were reliable.

Travelling with multiple family members often requires patience, and having dependable transport made their experience easier. The coordinators in Port Blair and Havelock played a key role as well. They kept track of timings, informed the family about their daily plans and ensured each stop on the itinerary was covered without confusion.

The family enjoyed Corbyn Cove, explored Cellular Jail, spent time at Elephant Beach and watched a beautiful sunrise at Kalapathar. They chose to pay extra for some activities like scuba diving and kayaking, which helped them tailor their experience to what they personally preferred.

Overall, the trip gave them the quiet, uncomplicated holiday they wanted. They saw the beaches, spent time together, and returned with a good impression of their Andaman experience with Thrillophilia.
