A Glimpse of Thailand’s Treasures- Kinsuk's Trip with Thrillophilia

Who does not want to spend a nice honeymoon in Thailand?

When Kinsuk and his partner were deciding on where to go for their own honeymoon, Thailand was the first name that popped into their minds. They did not have to think much further, it was the perfect destination for both of them to have fun!

Since both of them were swimmers, they wished to try water sports here very much. So, when they booked their trip with Thrillophilia, they made sure all the water activities were included in the itinerary. From snorkelling to high-speed boat riding, it was like a dream trip for them, and that too was for the very first time with each other.

A bit of scepticism and a bit of excitement lurked in the air. Both took a good few hours to get accustomed to the fact that they were going on a honeymoon trip, that too in Thailand! But after reaching there, everything seemed to fall into place!

Ripples and tides
They were welcomed by Maneetel Beach Front Resort, a stunning place overlooking the Indian Ocean. Savouring on some watermelon juice and clicking pictures wearing the orchid garlands, Kinsuk and his wife freshened up to enjoy a beautiful evening in the resort camp itself! They found the service to be on point, fast and attentive, enhancing their experience here.

After a lavish dinner by the sea, they retired for the night only to wake up to a brand new exciting day of touring the 7 islands!

They visited Koh Yawasam, Koh Tub, and Koh Poda for snorkelling, swimming, and sunset dinner. First things first, the snorkelling experience in Thailand was completely out of the world. They witness schools of colourful fishes, swimming together around the spectacular corals in hundreds. They also saw starfish and seahorses, along with stingrays and pufferfish!

Then they went for a quick swim to Koh Tub, indulging in some romantic times with each other in the picturesque shorelines of Thailand. After clicking almost a thousand pictures of each other, and them together, they finally started their way to Koh Poda for the sunset dinner- It was unlike anything they had witnessed before.

The sun was setting, colouring the entire sky in yellow-orange and pick, and the same colours reflected upon the seawater as well. It was a surreal scene to behold. They held hands, took a deep breath, and wished each other a happy married life together.

It was in that enchanting moment, that they knew that their life was going to be all about living for each other, more than with each other.

They had Mr. Ravi Sharma as their on-ground representative, and Ms. Pum as their tour guide. Both of them were immensely knowledgeable about the place. So whenever they went for a city tour ride or market hopping, they accompanied them, giving insights about the culture and the ways of life of the people here. To this, Kinsuk once asked,

“Why do they serve crocodiles and insects here? Don't you guys feel strange eating them?”

“Why? This is the diet of the region. It makes our cuisine unique because this is what has been available forever! Would you ever ask an Italian why they are so fond of pasta, cheese, and tomatoes?”, Ms Pum answered.

Her sarcasm was on point, and having faced questions about her heritage and food so many times, she had mastered the mannerisms to tackle them.

This impressed Kinsuk and his wife. So, after that point, their trip was filled with debates and conversations where they exchanged knowledge and thoughts. Sometimes arguing, sometimes unlearning.

It is about acceptance, Kinsuk learnt it that day. In order to explore different cultures and understand the world as a whole, one had to open their mind to new things, new ideas, and new outlooks. It is unique how travelling is not just about having fun, but also about building a steel-hard personality.

Tis’ the time to disco
The final stop of the tour was in Phuket. We went to various markets there, including the vibrant night markets and shopped for a lot of things like beaded jewellery, pickles, some local Thai ingredients and more.

Ravi and Pum were their constant guides, telling them about each place in detail as and when they toured.

Their stay was also first-class- the luxurious Amari Phuket Beach Resort. The service here was equally good, with all modern amenities and well-maintained staff who were dedicated to making your trip worth it.

Then came the best part of the journey when they had to ride a speedboat from Phuket to Phi Phi islands for a whole day tour! Whereas Ms. Pum took them to the best spots for photography, Mr. Ravi made arrangements for the water sports they could try there. Both of them were so friendly and warm to Kinsuk and his wife, that they felt humbled.

To top off the trip, they went to Bangla Street and Patong Beach to enjoy the extravagant nightlife of the place. After partying till late at night and making a ton of friends there, they both returned back to their resort.
