Keerti’s Memorable Trip to the Heart of Uttarakhand With Thrillophilia

When Keerti and her partner first started planning their trip to Uttarakhand, they had no idea that this adventure would become one of their most cherished memories. They booked their vacation through Thrillophilia, a recommendation from friends who swore by its efficient services.

Little did they know, they were in for a journey that would take them through misty mountains, serene rivers, and landscapes that felt straight out of a dream.

Divine Connections
Landing in Rishikesh, the ‘Yoga Capital of the World,’ Keerti and her partner were immediately greeted by the soothing hum of the Ganges. Staying at Aloha on the Ganges was like entering a tranquil bubble away from the chaos of the city. Their room overlooked the flowing river, and they could hear the water as they sat sipping tea on the balcony.

Rishikesh was their first stop, and Keerti could already feel the excitement bubbling up. The plan was to visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula—those iconic twin bridges that span across the sacred Ganges.

However, before they even unpacked, they got the news: Laxman Jhula was closed for construction, and Ram Jhula wasn’t in the cards either. “Well, that’s travel for you,” Keerti said, laughing about how they ended up shifting their plans on the fly.

Instead, they wandered through the quaint streets, discovering the hidden corners of Beatles Ashram, where the walls are alive with colourful murals and echoes of the past. “It felt like we were walking through an open-air art gallery,” Keerti said.

They also went to seek blessings at the Neelkanth Temple. Tucked away in the hills, its tranquillity left a mark on their hearts.

Their day ended with the spiritual spectacle of the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. “The river lit up with flickering lamps, and the chants filled the air—it was magic,” Keerti reminisced. They stood by the river’s edge, watching the sky turn a dusky pink, and at that moment, everything else seemed to fade into the background.

Highs and Laughs on the Road
The real adventure for them began when they hit the road to Joshimath. It was a long journey, but one that kept surprising them with every twist and turn.

The nine-hour drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath wasn’t easy, but it was filled with scenic detours that made every hour worth it. Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag—the names alone were enough to get Keerti's imagination running wild. “Watching rivers converge was like watching two old friends meet after ages,” she said, adding that the calm beauty of these spots offered much-needed pit stops along their long journey.

By the time they arrived in Joshimath, the chill in the air turned sharp, and so was the cosy warmth of their hotel. That night, they sat by the window, watching the snow gently fall, and realised that sometimes, the simplest moments make the best memories.

India’s Very Own Wonderland
Joshimath was merely the gateway to “India’s Switzerland” –  Auli, a magical white paradise that felt like it belonged in a snow globe. But there was one thing Keerti and her partner couldn’t agree on.

“He was dying to try skiing, and I just wanted to relax and watch,” Keerti explained. In the end, they both gave in —her partner took to the slopes while Keerti watched him from a cosy café with her hands wrapped around a hot cup of tea.

“The ski slopes were insane,” she recalled. “He fell once or twice, and I might have laughed a little too hard.”

When it was her turn to face the mountain, Keerti didn’t take on the skis but instead opted for the Chairlift Ropeway, which gave them a breathtaking panoramic view of Auli. The sight of the Auli Artificial Lake, surrounded by snow-dusted peaks, was more than enough adventure for Keerti. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” she said. "It felt like we were in the middle of a postcard."

The evenings in Joshimath, where they would sip wine, watching the twilight settle over the mountains, were moments she would hold close. “There was one night, just before we left for Auli, when we stayed up late, reminiscing about our early days. It felt like the mountains were listening to our stories,” Keerti said softly.

The Chenab Lake, which they visited on a whim, became their private hideaway for a few hours. “It was so still and serene—just the two of us and the gentle sound of water lapping against the shore. It was one of those rare moments where you forget the rest of the world exists.”

Final Thoughts: When Can We Go Back?
Behind every perfect moment was the smooth planning by Thrillophilia. From the moment they booked the trip, the team had been on top of everything. “It was our first time booking with them, but it definitely won’t be our last,” Keerti mentioned.

Jyoti and Jatin from Thrillophilia—ensured their trip went off without a hitch. “They took care of every little detail, from customising our itinerary to making sure we had the best prices. It felt like we were on a luxury trip but at a fraction of the cost.”

Thrillophilia didn’t just plan our trip—they made it feel effortless. Keerti’s favourite part? “I didn’t have to worry about a thing,” she said. “They took care of everything, and we could just focus on having the time of our lives.

From spontaneous laughter to quiet moments by a serene lake, their trip to Uttarakhand was more than just a vacation—it was an experience that would stay with them forever.

And as for future travel plans? Keerti smiled, “We’re already thinking about our next trip with Thrillophilia.”
