To Dreams, Romance, and Chocolates- Keerthi’s Swiss Honeymoon Thrillophilia Review
What is the point of going on a honeymoon if it does not stir up the soul? What is the purpose of choosing a beautiful destination if it does not elevate the romantic side and make one fall in love all over again?
And what could be the best destination that offers all of these together?
It’s a one-word answer, guys!
SWITZERLAND!
Keerthi and her husband set out on their dream honeymoon to this amazing place, something they both had wanted to do since childhood. And since they wished to spend quality time together, they eliminated the hassle of the trip arrangements and research.
That was an interesting story in itself. They were looking for the best honeymoon packages to Switzerland when they saw an online advertisement for Thrillophilia. After sending an enquiry, they immediately received a call from the team, and to their surprise, the package being offered was at a jaw-dropping price. Keerthi’s first assumption was that the services would not be good, but after checking the reviews, she found that all of them were impressive.
After some hours of speculation and research, they finally decided to go with Thrillophilia. They called the salesperson named Aayush and asked him to explain the entire itinerary, which he did flawlessly. Their faith was restored, and they ended up booking the package that very day.
Since then, Keerthi crossed out each day of the calendar till the day of departure.

And when the day arrived…
She fell sick.
But that was no reason to bail out from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Packing up all necessary (and more than necessary) medicines, they set out hand in hand.
After the flight took off, Keerthi could not think of anything else but the fact that
They were flying to Switzerland. Together.
They reached Zurich, and their first response to the city was overwhelming. Everything seemed to be extra vibrant, everyone seemed to be extra nice, and she felt extra in love. It was true when they said that a happy heart could make anything alright.
And seriously, the sickness vanished, and with it, all the negative thoughts in her mind.
Their driver was already waiting at the airport with a nice sleek car, who then took them to their hotel to meet the other group members and the guides. All of the staff seemed very hospitable and compassionate. Keerthi had a good feeling about this trip, so with fingers crossed, they headed up to their hotel room where they were to spend their first night in the Swiss land.
The room was a honeymoon suite, the bed decorated with rose petals and the towels folded into the shape of two swans facing each other.
The arrangements, the ambiance, the romantic charm, it all got her very excited for the trip. She knew this Swiss trip was going to be a big hit.
To the moon and back
Zurich is a stunning city, especially at night when the streetlights glow their best under the night sky. Keerthi and her husband were just returning from their dinner at the Steakhouse Old Town, one of their topmost choices of places to eat, when the empty streets and the romantic ambience ignited something amazing within them.
They walked that night from the restaurant to the hotel, taking a good two hours. The walk was playful, musical, and filled with lots and lots of jokes and laughter. It was one of the best nights she had with her husband since their marriage.
She was still not over last night when he woke her up to get ready for the Rhine Falls tour. She had to admit, the Swiss land was very, very beautiful. There was not a single turn, road, or scenery that could disappoint. Visiting the falls was a spectacular experience; they also went for a boat ride that took them around the falls and its nearby landscapes.
Cut to, they were standing in front of the huge Interlaken Lake. They had a stay there as they were supposed to go to the Jungfraujoch mountain the next day for a cable car ride. The raw natural scenery of Switzerland was most prominent during this part of the trip. The Alps were an amazing sight, very different from the ones Keerthi had seen before.
The Jungfraujoch observatory was a brilliant experience. The museum and the sky-watching session there were unparalleled, and she doubted she would ever have such an experience again. Surrounded by sky-high peaks blanketed in snow, the observatory’s location was something else altogether, too good.
And the cable car ride, she would suggest everyone reading this review save up and do this trip at least once in a lifetime.
Geneva- another feather to the cap
The Geneva tour was quite an enriching one. They saw the famous Lake Geneva, the Water Fountain, and also took the popular CERN tour.
The museum tours and the gardens were marvellous. But the chocolate tour stole Keerthi’s heart, not his, just hers, because she loved chocolates. And Switzerland, especially Geneva, is famous for them. So it was a must-have experience there, a chocolate-tasting tour.
What topped the list was the night they went for a candlelight dinner in Spinella Restaurant and Bar. They tried some amazing local dishes like Rosti, Swiss meringue, and Malakoff. To make it better, they ordered some mulled wine and cheese as starters and concluded the meal with some handmade chocolates. They tried many varieties and kinds of chocolate dishes in the restaurant too.
Before going to bed, Keerthi realised she had eaten too many chocolates and was not sleepy, so they spent the entire night talking to each other and discussing the pictures they had taken on the trip.
While coming back home, she realised they had made some impeccable memories on the trip. Forgetting them was out of the question. She knew she would never let them fade from her daydreams!
